Made a few cosmetic changes to the site this morning – some new links added to the sidebar, moved around some of the widgets, finally got a Contact Form on the About Page (right below my drunken, gurning mug). Still working on some kind of graphic for the background – the white’s a bit boring, I feel.

After much to-ing and fro-ing, hemming and hawing, dillying, dallying, and dawdling, it appears that BETAMAXNOMATES.COM is (at last) up and running. Or stumbling at least. I’m still wrapping my tiny, reluctant brain around WordPress so – for now anyway – the site will be as simple as possible. I had initially planned on dividing the site into specific sections (Music, Mixes, Photos, Video etc.) until I came to the realisation that I rarely venture any further than the front page of most sites I use with any frequency. So for that reason I’ve opted to chuck everything upfront and use these ‘Category’ things to impose some kind of order on the place. It may not work and I may eventually set up a separate page for media only but for the moment I’ll see how this works. There’s an ‘About’ page you can see up in the top right which doubles (triples?) as a kind of Contact/Links page. I did try and install one of those neat little contact form thingys but it made my sidebar disappear so it had to go.

Anyway, enough of that. I’m going to make a few more posts now just to get this ball rolling. Rolling on to victory.
